The injunction granted by Mrs Justice Yip (following an application presented by Andrew Fraser-Urquhart KC and Charles Forrest) prevents, among other things, blocking the highway at 17 locations which are particularly important to the TfL Road Network, such as Westminster Bridge, Park Lane including Marble Arch, Tower Bridge, and the Blackwall Tunnel. The grant of the application follows on from long-standing Just Stop Oil protests which have intensified and focused on London’s roads in the last few weeks, causing significant disruption. 
 
Andrew Fraser-Urquhart KC and Charles Forrest represented the successful applicants, Transport for London, and were instructed by Transport for London. They also act for TfL in proceedings arising from Insulate Britain protests which began in autumn of 2021 and in respect of which two interim injunctions have been granted, initially on an urgent basis see here and here.
